A native of Baltimore, MD, Clyde attended college at the University of Virginia, where he graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Economics. He subsequently graduated from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1978.
Clyde’s extensive and diverse legal background enables him to bring a broad perspective to every case. He served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Georgia Department of Medical Assistance (the state Medicaid agency), was Vice President and General Counsel for Medical Review Systems, and held various positions at 3M for over a decade. He is a registered civil and family law Mediator and a trained Collaborative Attorney.
Clyde has practiced Family Law since first entering private practice and is experienced in the myriad aspects of divorce. Since 2008 he has practiced Collaborative Law as a way of helping families minimize the pain and destructiveness that almost inevitably result from the litigated divorce process.
Clyde is admitted to practice in all Georgia Courts and the United States Supreme Court, and has also practiced before the Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh, Fifth, and Fourth Circuits. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia, and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals.
